Starting from Delhi, the tour progresses through the sacred towns of Haridwar and Barkot, and then ventures into the majestic Himalayas to explore each of the four holy temples—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. These sites are the cornerstones of Hindu faith, dedicated to the divine energies of Goddess Yamuna, Goddess Ganga, Lord Shiva, and Lord Vishnu respectively. The journey also includes visits to spiritual centers like Uttarkashi, Gupkashi, Joshimath, and Rudraprayag, enriching the spiritual experience.

Here are some traveling tips for Char Dham Yatra listed below which one should keep in mind before travelling to Char Dham.
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Once you reach Delhi Airport, you will be welcomed with garlands. After you will get escorted to the hotel for check-in. You will stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi City Tour
Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of both Old and New Delhi:
Day 3: Delhi to Haridwar (209 km / 5 hrs)
Drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. In the evening, visit Har Ki Pauri to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Haridwar to Barkot (177.5 km / 6 hrs)
After breakfast, proceed to Barkot. En route, enjoy scenic views of Mussoorie and the Kempt Falls. On arrival, check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Barkot – Yamunotri Dham – Barkot (46.4 km drive and way 6 km trek)
Post breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti, the base for the Yamunotri trek. Begin your 6 km trek to Yamunotri Dham, the origin of River Yamuna.
Day 6: Barkot to Uttarkashi (82.3 km / 3 hrs)
Drive to the spiritual town of Uttarkashi. After check-in, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Attend evening Aarti. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 7: Uttarkashi – Gangotri Dham – Uttarkashi (99.7 km / 2.5 hrs- one way)
After breakfast, drive to Gangotri Dham, the origin of the River Ganga.
Day 8: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (196 km / 7 hrs)
Today’s drive offers a spectacular journey through the mountains via Devprayag and Rudraprayag. En route, visit the Mandakini River and Narishwar Temple in Guptkashi. Check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 9: Guptkashi – Kedarnath Dham – Guptkashi (29.4 km with trek or helicopter)
After breakfast, drive to Gaurikund:
Day 10: Guptkashi to Badrinath (185 km / 7 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Badrinath, another pillar of the CharDham. Check in upon arrival and relax. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Local Sightseeing at Badrinath
Begin the day at the Tapt Kundt and then witness darshan at the Badrinath Temple. Check out all the popular places of interests nearby such as Mata Murta Temple, Charanpaduka, Vyas Cave, Mana Village and Bhim Phul. Attend the aarti in the evening and enjoy the divine seting. Stay back overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Badrinath > Joshimath > Rudraprayag (46 km plus90 km / 5 hrs in total)
After finishing breakfast check out Joshimath. Its one of the four holy Peeths of Adi Shankaracharya. Check out Narsingh Temple right before visiting Rudraprayag, which is the confluence of Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers. Take your dinner and stay overnight at the Rudraprayag Hotel.
Day 13: Rudraprayag to Rishikesh (163 km / 5.5 hrs)
After completing the breakfast, you will visit the beautiful town of Rishikesh. Check out all the main attractions, such as Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Enjoy the evening and stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 14: Rishikesh to Delhi (163 km / 5.5 hrs)
Drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and rest. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 15: Delhi Shopping & Leisure
Enjoy a leisurely day shopping at famous Delhi markets such as Connaught Place, Janpath, or Sarojini Nagar. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 16: Departure from Delhi
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Delhi Airport for your onward journey—carrying memories of a spiritually enriching and scenic CharDham Yatra.
